Welcome to Room 30!
Welcome to the 2021-2022 school year! My name is Jenifer Schneider, and I will be your child's 5th-grade teacher this year. This is my 8th year with LAUSD, and my 8th year at Darby Elementary School. I am so excited to be back , and I cannot wait to make this year your child's best year yet!
I graduated from California State University, Northridge in 2008 with my Bachelor's Degree in Child Development. I continued on to Pepperdine University where I earned my Master's in Education with Teaching Credential. I continue to take Graduate level courses through LAUSD to gain more knowledge in my field and apply it to my classroom.
Teaching is my passion. I love reading up on the newest ideas, trying them out in class, and growing as an educator. Outside of teaching, I enjoy anything that keeps me busy such as hiking, reading, watching sports, jogging, and being around my friends. I am an avid USC fan (Fight On!) and I enjoy going to sporting events.
I am really looking forward to this school year and cannot wait to get started!!
